What is nuru massage?

Nuru massage is a Japanese body-to-body technique using warm nuru gel — a water-based, odorless gel made from Nori seaweed. The gel is highly slippery, body-safe, and leaves no residue. Your therapist uses their entire body — forearms, chest, legs, torso — to deliver long, flowing pressure strokes across yours while both bodies are coated in the gel on a heated waterproof table.

The result is an experience of unusually deep relaxation and full-body skin-to-skin contact that conventional massage cannot replicate. The connection is meditative, immersive, and unlike any other modality.

What to expect at Menquility

Your suite is prepared before you arrive — the waterproof table is set up and heated, the gel is warmed. You shower on arrival, then your therapist joins you on the table. The session begins with standard massage strokes to warm the body before the gel is introduced. From there, the work flows continuously for the duration.

Sessions are in fully private suites with rainfall showers for before and after. You choose how you want to be positioned during the session when you book — we follow your lead entirely.
